Support a Great Cause by Participating in the Ride4UnitedWay

On August 30, 2009 Port Perry Cycling will be participating in the Ride4UnitedWay.  This is a great cause that needs your support.  The Ride4UnitedWay will takes over from the previously named Ride the Ridge that is run by the Oshawa Cycling Club.  This year in partnership with the Oshawa Cycling Club the United Way presents the Ride4UnitedWay.  Please check out the following site to get more details and to sign-up or support this great cause!

Join Port Perry Cycling in Philadelphia for the Livestrong Challenge!

On August 23rd a group from Port Perry Cycling will be travelling to Philadelphia, PA to take part in the 2009 Livestrong Challenge.  There are several levels of participation available from a 5 Mile run/walk, all the way up to a 100 Mile Ride.  Entry fees are only $75 and in order to participate you will sign-up to raise $250 with all money going to the Global Livestrong Foundation.  Please check out http://philly09.livestrong.org/portperrycycling to join our team or to support a member of our team at this great initiative and cause!

Looking for cyclists in the Port Perry Area

The reason I started PortPerryCycling.com was to find other cycling enthusiasts in the Port Perry area to meet up with for rides mainly on weekends. While driving in the area I see quite a few cyclists but have never met up with any of them on a ride. Hopefully this blog will make it easier to get in contact with those cyclists and perhaps create a group that will meet on a regular basis.
